The Short Version
The Challenge
The National Parks and Wildlife Service needed to communicate an important message to dog owners visiting Ireland’s natural areas: even friendly, well-behaved dogs can disturb wildlife when allowed off lead.
The challenge was to explain the reasons behind the guidance without sounding overly complicated or confrontational — and to create something that people would actually pay attention to.
Our Approach
We worked with NPWS to turn the key information into a clear, engaging visual story.
Rather than simply telling people what not to do, the animation explains why keeping dogs under control matters, showing the impact dogs can have on wildlife and their habitats.
We used simple language, characterful animation and visual storytelling to make the information easy to understand and remember.
The same visual approach was then carried across supporting communications, creating a consistent message wherever people encountered the campaign
The Solution
Gimme created a three-minute animated explainer, a short social media version, and supporting signage and visual materials for use by NPWS.
The result is a piece of communication that takes an important conservation message and makes it accessible, engaging and easy to act on.
Complex information. Clearly communicated.
